On a December 1998 vacation to Marco Island, FL, Bob and Peggy rented a boat. Bob went left instead of right, got off the main channel and ended up in shallow water. With the tide going out, we were rescued within minutes before they would have had to call in a helicopter. This was how looked after wading through 20 feet of knee-deep mud to the rescue boat. |
