Love in the Headlands
A poem written by Robert G. Forsythe
for his son Ryan's wedding

Last Updated 11/09/00

We have gathered together
Not far from the Bay
To celebrate Ry's
And Kaci's big day

You've both traveled far
And you've both traveled near
You finally found love
Right around here

The love that you found
Looks as though it is strong
The smiles that you show
It must not be wrong

Take care of each other
And try not to fight
Your love will endure
Through each day and night

You both have lived
On minimum money
And both have cleaned toilets
Now isn't that funny

You both have been given
Great talents and skills
Share with each other
The downfalls and thrills

Some day you may find
You must get a job
But continue to dream
And try not to sob

Give more than you take
Watch what you say
Tell each "I love you"
At least once a day

Although you may think
That you need just each other
Remember your parents
And each smiling brother

Now when you leave here
Wherever you'll be
Much love will be with you
Our Ry and Kaci

Love,
Dad
